The battery life was outstanding

One negative comment regarding these radios is an echo of the most common complaint: the included battery life is just horrible.

Can't say that I put them to the test however battery life was a good at about 40 hours

Other than the cheap-o earpiece and mic attachment - these little babies pack a punch, feel excellent in the hand, great sound, long battery life with rechargeable batt-pack, multi-function, FRS/GMRS with incredible range in urban setting.

The battery life also is hit and miss, good luck getting a full 8 hours of usage (standard day of work).We will find another manufacturer for radios after this disappointing experience.

That said, if the Midland has sufficient range for YOUR use, it's compact, easy to operate, good battery life.(Remember, with most any GMRS radio of max range you must use the GMRS channels (not the FRS) and may have to go into the menu and set the power for that channel to "H" , high.)I guess you could say this is a two product personal comparision

We haven't tested the range but the clarity is great, the battery life is good and overall we are really happy with these.

They helped to facilitate intermittent conversation between my wife and I as we travelled across the great expanses that makeup our great country.

we use them to move across the country and have been using them at her new apartment as well as when we go out.

We use these to communicate on our 20 acre property as well as during disaster drills held in our community.

They won't work nearly as well as much more expensive HAM hand held radios but they generally allowed communication when we tried.
