Working on a cattle ranch where is poor cell phone signals they make communicating easy.

However, once we were more than 1/2 mile apart, the signal became very shoddy, fading in and out while trying to communicate

I made 0.5 miles with the Motorola before the signal started to break up

The only time we lost signal was about 50 yards into the Eisenhower Tunnel

Strong signal, nice chirp, these are a quality product to be sure.

Also, we have far fewer extraneous signals from other works on walkies talkies near by

we even had it worked out that if we lost signal on a specific channel we would switch up to the next......the supermarket was approx 1/4 mile away from the condo we stayed in...walking to the store , the signal was clear because it was a short distance

I began to lose signal about 1/4 mile away and barley had anything at 1/2 mile.

There is no problem with sending or receiving clear signals about 1 1/2 miles

I made it 1.5 miles with the Midland and the signal was still loud and clear with no interference

Lake is 10 miles long and 2 miles wide, longest straight distance is 7 miles and lost signal before reaching other point

I can only go 500 feet and the signal gets static

We did lose signals at a very crucial time when we got separated and there was no cell phone service.

We have 10 acres of property and these radios gives perfect signals from one end to the other.

Very poor signal, purchased for a vacation and wasn't able to use them unless we were within about 50 feet of each other.

I took them camping and never lost a signal in the middle of the woods.

I have used A’s on numerous hunting trips they work well!

I just keep AA’s on the trucks and they work great

It's not as flexible or soft as you'd hope considering not all ears are created equal

does everything as they promised. was worried after the cheaper version puked on me after 4 months but these are great

They helped to facilitate intermittent conversation between my wife and I as we travelled across the great expanses that makeup our great country.

we use them to move across the country and have been using them at her new apartment as well as when we go out.

We use these to communicate on our 20 acre property as well as during disaster drills held in our community.

They won't work nearly as well as much more expensive HAM hand held radios but they generally allowed communication when we tried.
