I get that this is cheap, but if you have a product that advertises 18 miles and it only reaches a fraction of that, it is false advertising.

Will work for that purpose as we will be traveling within sight of each other.

Battery lasted us maybe 8 hours (drove from LA to Phoenix one time with a few stops, and the batteries dies just as we were pulling into our destination).
