I originally purchased these brushes to do the grunt work for my miniature painting and to reserve my W&N series 7 brushes for fine detailing

Purchased for antique restoration work: from painting doll features to porcelain repair work; as well as detail brushes for my oil painting.

He does a great deal of fine detail work on his pieces with ink and he absolutely loves the different sizes in his set he has to work with now.

THESE ARE FANTASTIC!!I was able to do some fine detailing on a set that my previous brushes wouldn't allow me to do (crappy chain store set) because none of them were as fine pointed as these.

I've used two of the brushes so far, and they definitely let me paint fine details, such as reeds on the beach, details of a butterflies wings

Love these brushes, comfortable to hold and perfect for fine detailing.

For fine detail I just touch the tip of the brush to the object, and these brushes have just the right balance of stiffness and flex to make that work

I find these brush's awesome, I never could find brush's small enough to paint some of the figures that come with the models and now I can, also now I can go into great detail with painting small parts

but for what i purchased them for they are quite simply some of the best i have used, they hold a good amount of paint, this i am sure is partly due to the length of the bristles, on some figures it is quite difficult to access the tighter areas of the model without risking leaving paint on parts that you did not want to paint but thanks to the slender design and length of the bristles of these brushes and the more comfortable design of shaft it is far easier to paint these areas with far more control than the shorter bristles of most other fine detail brushes that are available in my opinion,so far they have held their shape excellently and i do not expect this to change given proper maintenance
