It boils within minutes, no problem!!!

I'm guessing that my particular problem was an anomaly, since I haven't seen reports of that problem in other reviews.

I also use this to boil water for iced tea and the problem with other, plastic kettles is that I could not boil two full kettles of water in a row without having to wait for the thermal cut out to cool down and allow the button to engage again.

And l love that it gives you temperature level options

And at least for me it was able to boil the full 1.7 l in about 3 ish minutes

1.75 l gets to boiling point in less than 30 sec
