It doesn’t keep your drink really hot and you’ll need to put a mug lid to cover your cup to keep the heat from escaping, otherwise your drink will just be luke warm, like an uncover pot, the surface of the liquid will be cooler.

I like my hot drinks hot, and that's not what this product is for

I have one much older weight-activated mug warmer that actually keeps my drink hot (not just warm), but it shuts off automatically after 30 minutes and I wish it didn't, or at least that that time was user-adjustable

I'm thinking about investing in a candle warmer just to keep my drinks hot instead of using this.

The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't keep the drink hot enough.

The heat doesn't pass through ceramic much at all and my drinks are always cold, even after a while on the hot plate
