Three days later I receive an email from Jasmine in Misfit support asking me to provide my email address (no lie!) which I already provided and where she was emailing me... when the issue occurred (already provided)... which device I was using, Shine or Flash (already provided)... if installing a new battery (in my week-old device) solved the problem... the serial number (already provided)... and a photograph of the device (what?).I can't tell if "Jasmine" is another automated email, or a real person who didn't bother to read the issue report I filled out on their website.

I have tried many before (owned three Fitbita at one time due to brief battery life) but the MisFit is the only device I recommend to my family and friends.

Here are my cautions for buyers-to-be: if you're not tech-savvy, spend time (an hour) up front with someone who is tech-savvy to learn the device; you need a tablet or cell phone that is blue-tooth compatible in order to get the reports on activity, etc.; buy your Misfit ONLY from an authorized seller (directly from Misfit or from Amazon as seller and fufillment); if you're going to use the original band, use a little Gorilla glue to make sure the device stays secure in the band (or buy a secure band) to avoid losing the Misfit.
