Misfit Shine - Activity and Sleep Monitor

    • I think it might do a good job with "restful" sleep, but I'm a light sleeper in
    • It kind of just does it on its own and gives a graphical representation of "light sleep versus restful sleep versus time awake during period of
    • I like the sleep
    • Mine mainly shows about the same length of restful sleep as it does light sleep
    • ___ minutes, restful sleep for
    • I also like that the Shine automatically tracks sleep without having to press a button each time
    • Great little steps/sleep tracker for a good price, and super cute!Update: purchased on Nov 15th, 2017 and today it’s March 3rd and my battery finallydied
    • I don't use the watch function on it, because I did find that to be a bit strange and difficult to get used to, but it's perfect for tracking fitness activity and sleep (I've used it for running, walking, and swimming).
    • Pretty bad, when you think that you're going to leave this thing on your wrist all the time, esp while sleeping
    • To be able to see graphically when the most productive sleep occurred during the night is great! It's been an excellent self-motivating tool to maintain a specific fitness level
    • but I think that is because I work third shift and sleep during the day.
    • I never realized how much restless sleep I was getting until I started using my Shine to track my sleep habits
    • I specifically bought this fitness tracker because I have insomnia and was excited about the silent sleep alarm and sleep tracking
    • If you are an average person, looking for a reasonably priced activity/sleep monitor, please read this and other reviews on Amazon to see if it will work for you
    • It supposedly tracks "restful" sleep, "light" sleep, and "awake"
    • There seem to be a few glitches in the software, such as occasional missed sleep data, and one day where it logged all my activity but only awarded me 21 points
    • I found this to be pretty reliable for lap counting but the sleep and steps seem off and the battery dies a lot earlier than 6 months
    • I also love the auto-sleep.
    • Seems to work good for tracking movement, sleep...not so much.
    • And I love the fact that it shows how long you were awake, the amount of light sleep you had and the amount of restful sleep you had.
    • If you just want a good sleep log and some indications of how active/inactive you have been, the Misfit Shine is a good choice.
    • Sleep function doesn't indicate what time awake, light sleep or restful sleep occurred
    • off.• Along with tracking your daily activity, the Misfit also monitors your sleep
    • Does track your sleep well and it's nice that they include your BMR to calories burned.
    • Also, it's helpful to know that my sleep is better than I thought it was!
    • The Shine function as watch, sleep tracker and pedometer while managing not to throw off your style
    • Coupe weeks later my Misfit did not record my sleep at all, I have zero hours in my app.
    • Data is lost fairly frequently, and it will not automatically count your sleep if you fall asleep during the day.
    • I now am much more aware of getting a good nights sleep and have changed my light out to an earlier time.
    • Below are the main points I have been very pleased with about the Shine-Sleep tracking-The automatic sleep tracking is something I didn't care about at all when I got it
    • Both sleep and activity have tracked very well over the last month
    • My Misfit tracks sleep better than my husband's Garmin at 1/6 the price
    • Sleep monitoring - I absolutely love this feature
    • A basic, well-priced activity and sleep tracker that is waterproof
    • Tells me what I could only guess, how good or bad, continuous or fragmented my sleep was; how long it took to enter a deep phase
    • Great activity and sleep tracker.
    • It even has the best sleep sounds and alarm in the app
    • but I found that I got the same results and perhaps even a slightly more accurate sleep start time when just going to bed normally without telling the Shine that I'm doing so
    • I would recommend it a a good overall basic fitness and sleep tracker.
    • It monitors three levels of sleep being light rest, restful sleep and awake and on the app will show you in a shaded chart as well as the hours spent awake, lightly resting and actually asleep
    • I would love a device which would sync on its own, which could have woken me up in proper sleep phases, and was waterproof.
    • It tracks sleep well too, showing different colored bars for restful sleep, light sleep and waking
    • With recent upgrades the sleep monitor works
    • It is basically just inexpensive activity and sleep tracker and for the price of either, Flash or Shine, I really don't know what people expect
    • I use misfit app with pebble smart watch, but for a stable sleep monitor I'm considering buy one...
    • It has definitely helped me maintain my daily fitness goals, and get better sleep
    • Good sleep tracking
    • The app is easy to use, the device tracks different activities as well as sleep.
    • If you get out of bed at night it looses sleep pattern
    • but it's really neat to see how much "restful" sleep you got.
    • I'm not losing sleep over it
    • The sleep tracker was eye opening to me because I learned I wasn't getting enough restful sleep
    • After consistent exercise and enough sleep, I am now happy and satisfied
    • Up until about three days ago it tracked my sleep acceptably well, tracked my walks and runs with the usual degree of accuracy for a band without GPS, and tracked my swims like an absolute champion steely-eyed coach
    • Yes, it is an pedometer that primarily tracks 'sleep' based on how little you move, but it has helped me take sleep more seriously and I can see patterns and now know which time of the night I get my best and worst sleep
    • (The sleep tracking works very well - the Shine does a good job of sensing sleep and the app shows the data clearly.)
    • (The sleep tracking works very well - the Shine does a good job of sensing sleep and the app shows the data clearly.)
    • It's so comfortable that I don't pay any attention to it when I don't need to, and it hasn't impeded my sleeping at all
    • It tracks your sleep accurately as well.
    • Overall, the sleep tracking and activity tracking seems accurate and is good to compare day-to-day variation.
    • For example, I'll go to bed at 11 pm but the Shine doesn't track my sleep until 3 am (it gives you a graph to show the stages of sleep and there will be nothing for the first few hours)
    • I purchased this with the hopes of tracking my sleep as well as my activity
    • -I understood that it would give the best sleep tracking out there on the market, but just basically tracks when you move in the night-Need to use another app for weight & food (I used a linked app, My Fitness, which Misfit then does import data
    • All in all, I'm very happy with this product and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone who has had problems with weight loss or sleep disorders.
    • but not something I am that interested in since I discovered that I average 4 hours of light sleep and 4 hours of restful sleep almost every night.
    • I leave it on 24/7, doesn't bother me sleeping, showering or anything else
    • In comparison, my Misfit Flash/Shine has recorded my sleep consistently, including a couple times that I took a short nap during the day
    • Tracking Sleep with Shine:I purchased this topaz shine on Amazon on Jan 31, 2016 hoping it would automatically track my irregular sleep patterns
    • Great activity and sleep tracker.
    • I love the sleep monitor than activity tracker since its difficult to know the peaceful sleep
    • l have had my shine now for about three
