This is a great design and the easiest remote I have programmed.

It looks like its an actual part of the remote, well designed, and functions exactly as described

The buttons work perfectly... if you press onto the inside back of the remote while using it, which would mean that you have to remove it from the Alexa remote, completely defeating the purpose of the seamless design

Placing the ir light transmitter towards the front would be better a better design, but it is a small annoyance on an otherwise, easy to program, easy to use add-on.

The design of this seems rushed and lacks simple ergonomics in my opinion.

I see being a potential problem (and possibly why so many people report batteries dying quickly) is that they use a very odd battery holder design where a spring loaded metal pieces that looks kind of like a safety pin, presses against the side of the battery and looks like it might slip to either side... if it slipped to the bottom side it might short out the battery to itself causing rapid discharge and poor performance
