I didn’t get these to be a replacement for the “strong” or “SBD” knee sleeves, but I was thinking that they would offer better compression than what they actually do

Similar to what other reviewers have expressed, there doesn't seem to be enough compression around the knee area and too much around the top of the band, where it hugs the thigh, due to the fact that the sleeve was developed in a straight tube shape, as opposed to a more hourglass shape.
