Because reception of weak signals is difficult, I also recommend using a TV/set top box that gives some indication of the receive signal strength (like a mobile device shows WiFi signal strength).

I looked online for where most of the network towers are and faced it in that general direction... immediately got a strong signal, I turned it just a bit more and got 100% signal on most of the 30 channels it found (according to the signal info reported by my Samsung Smart TV).
