I purchased these quickly in order to meet the 12pm deadline for same-day shipping, thinking that "soft cover" meant that it was soft leather or faux leather like a traditional moleskine notebook
-
The covers are great for decorating and printing.
-
The outer cover is flimsier than I imagined, but there's a mini pocket on the inside of the back cover, which I thought was handy
-
The cover is sturdy, and the sewn binding assures the integrity of the notebook
-
and she doesn't mind the soft cover.
-
I prefer a notebook with lines and a soft cover - perfect for this one!
-
Durable material and cover
-
Although they're missing the nice cover and bookmark ribbon, they still have a flap in back to hold loose notes and they've a stitched binding to keep your pages secure
-
I used the larger moleskins for journals, these are not hard cover like those, more like a heavier paper cover.
-
The cover feels like thick construction paper, there are far fewer pages, and it's easier than the other notebooks they offer to get mangled.
-
They fit perfectly in the back pocket and as a result, I'm never without my moleskine! The cover is deceptively durable, and the pages do not bleed through very easily
-
I would recommend forking out some more cash and get a sturdy covered moleskine.
-
I slapped a little duct tape on them to hold them together, but I would have preferred a stronger cover.
-
Bright red covers make them easy to find on floor or elsewhere (so long as the elsewhere isn't predominantly red in color)
-
In fact, the plain brown cover cries for some artistic endeavor
-
The cover is sturdy, but flexible enough that you can carry it in your pocket and it will flex to the contour of your leg.
-
I thought they were going to have the soft cover, but instead they have a thick cardboard cover
-

-
They're not too thick, the cover is not too stiff, and quadrille is perfect for record-keeping.
-
I got these as a gift for my dad along with a beautiful leather cover for this size that I got on Etsy.
-
Even though they are soft cover, they are great quality and hold up
-
I used the larger moleskins for journals, these are not hard cover like those, more like a heavier paper cover.
-
The semi-flexible outer cover provides enough protection so that it doesn't get
-
It was a perfect size and had a sturdy cover enclosing 48 pages of perfect writing paper

-
I am used to writing in the hard cover Moleskine books but carrying them around is somewhat annoying at times
-
Hard Cover version in the back pocket is a little rough.
-
Portability, quality paper, great cover for the paper inside.
-
Occasionally I write down workouts but the small form factor and semi durable cover help keep the pages from getting worn out
-
I use them for field research, and they hold up well, even with the soft cover, plus have enough pages to hold a lot of notes.
-
Perfect travel size, great paper quality, great cover, easy to lug around with you - good space to write, draw, whatever it may be
-
The cover is pretty durable, but not nearly as rugged as the Field Notes' cover.3
-
Good pocket size, great smooth cover, and crisp smooth pages
-
The cover is very flimsy and after a week of carrying it in the pocket of my pants, it has already been bent and is beginning to lose its form.
-
The vibrant red cover is what I think attracts my son to them, so I take two and can give him one while I jot on the other.
-
The covers are a thicker paper, so not as durable as they could be, but they are just right
-
You can find fancier journals with hard, leather-wrapped covers, gilded pages, and embedded illustrations or decorative scrollwork
-
I love them, in both the hard cover, as well as soft covers.
-
I would buy this again, but may consider something with a harder cover as to not bend (I hate bended edges or corners).
-
And don't be fooled by the picture, these little notebooks do not have the same smooth cover as the regular Moleskines
-
It would help if the cover was a little more resilient to pocket wear and sweat
-
I love the brown covers especially (because I like drawing on them) and love the paper and love this size book particularly
-
Soft cover makes it easy to open and jot a note.
-
Cover is flimsy, but I chose this as a notebook for quick notes, not something to last for a long time
-
My bad, but find it difficult to use a book this small with a flexible cover
-
but that's a consequence to the soft cover
-
There is paper, and a nice cover
-
Good quality paper, pretty solid cover.
-
A couple of my hard cover moleskins have broken at the spine but that's because I crush the heck out of them in my camera bags
-
It is ok for small notekeeping but would recommend a cover to keep two or three of them together
-
I use both sides anyway, but it may bother you if you like prisitine pages-Cover sometimes needs tape to hold it together with heavy use.-Perforated pages sometimes come loose at the tops and bottoms with heavy use.-Cost

I love them, in both the hard cover, as well as soft covers.
