• Reviews around pen (3.99 of 5)

Moleskine Classic Notebook, Pocket, Ruled, White, Hard Cover (3.5 x 5.5)

    • Thin pages, it will bleed if you get any less than the best quality pen.
    • My problem with it is the page thickness, these pages ghost and bleed through with all of my favorite pens (Pilot G-2 07, Pilot Precise V5, etc.).
    • And I can't use a journal that bleeds through to the next page even with a gentle ball point pen
    • I would recommend Micron, or any fine-liner pens to pair as long as they're marketed as non-bleed through ink.
    • Pen shows through the pages pretty clearly, but doesn't bleed through
    • G-2 Extra fine pen
    • Any better pen suggestions please
    • Also using ink and gel pen doesnt bleed through as mush as other notebooks.
    • The pens and highlights that i own also go perfectly and do not bleed through the pages
    • I use a extra-fine fountain pen so there isn't that much ink that goes through.
    • Typically, I try to find books with thick, but smooth paper as I do a lot of sketches and handlettering mostly with fine rollerball ink pens and other fine tip pens like microns
    • Good quality paper enables easy flowing handwriting with a decent pen.
    • Just make sure you use a light non-bleeding pen since sometimes it can bleed.
    • pens bleed through very easily.
    • My pen didn't bleed
    • The unlined notebooks that have thicker paper are beautiful to write in with any pen- nice to sketch and write in.
    • Get this notebook and a good pen that you like and enjoy some notes that you can get near your for your life
    • If you use super inky fountain pens, then the ink might bleed through the pages, but if not, then you're good to go!
    • The images I have attached show what happens when you use a fine tipped pen with moderate ink release (with the Uniball Vision Elite .7)
    • The Inkjoys are my favorite pens, and I love them for anything except this.
    • That means the notebooks should look nice (sorry Composition notebooks) and the pens should be better (you've been
    • Not fountain pen friendly, and they know it and don't care.
    • The pens don't smear on any other journal paper that I've used, so this was surprising as I expected a better outcome
    • At that point, the pen bleeding through is your fault and you can't blame it on the paper
    • but I'm gonna give it 4 stars cause the last one I had, the pages were thicker, and I could use my favorite liquid ink pen
    • Especially the pen that costs 15 euros just destroys the notebook every time you place it
    • However if you use a micro point (.3 mm) rollerball or a fine or extra fine fountain pen you might experience some feathering but should be fine for the most part.
    • So, if you want a good notebook and you like fountain pens, forget about Moleskine, and move to another brands.
    • I use Sharpie Pen on it, and it doesn't bleed through
    • The pages don't tear even under extremely fine point pens, nor does the ink bleed
    • Previously, I had a Moleskine notebook that I loved because I could write in it with my favorite black gel pens and have no issues with ink bleeding through
    • The pages are a little thin, but when using my favorite gel pen, it did not bleed through
    • (I use either a pilot very fine gel ink pen or a Sharpie pen (not an actual Sharpie but their pen collection))
    • Really inky pens dont even bleed through
    • Not too good with marker, maybe use the sharpie pens, but I like M. pencil.
    • Only thing is, make sure you buy NICE non-bleed pens since the pages are thinner than normal sketchbooks/notebooks
    • It's also very pleasing to the eye and with the right pen, there is no bleeding through or seeing through the pages
    • It has put up with many years of collected thoughts and quotes, as well as many different pens (the pens just couldn't keep up!)
    • The paper also appears to have changed somewhat because my typical pen (which has never had issues with Moleskine notebooks in the past) was smearing like crazy
    • a pen user like me.
    • If you're simply looking to use this notebook with a pencil or a very fine tipped pen, then that may be its only use.
    • My favorite pen to use with this notebook is the Pilot P-500 extra fine black pen
    • The pages are thin enough that ink bleeds through using my Pilot Precise V5 Rolling Ball pen.
    • Pen bleeds through.
    • I'm still looking for the right pen to fit my routine.
    • Pen flows like fine wine
