It replicated that classic RAT distortion well

It seemed to get stuck between on and off, either giving me a muffled quiet distortion sound or almost completely cutting my clean signal

The Black Secret is a nice sounding distortion.

Gives a great distortion sound, totally worth it.

I'm not 100% sure if this really replicates the Rat completely, but this is a darn fine little distortion pedal with two modes for pretty cheap

It "solves" some of the issues that prevented me from buying the original RAT, and nails a classic distortion sound from one of the most popular and widely-used effects pedals of all time.
