Don't think you could ever count on this camera to take truly good pictures
Have only had the phone for a few days and I will update this review if things change but for now I would happily recommend this phone to anyone who is not looking to play intensive games or take great pictures with their phones.
The camera is of good enough quality that I can take videos for my You Tube channel, and the pictures are crisp and clean (although the flash in low light situations does tend to wash things out a bit more than most other phones)
On this point I went in with open eyes, I had no expectation that a $150 phone would take good pictures, but yeah, they really do stink
The camera is quite bad - it takes usable pictures, but clearly is post-processing the crap out of
, it does everything I need to do, and great battery life.
A little bummed that I have to use a wired headset for this to work as I typically use a Bluetooth headset
That means bad camera, poor performance, and weird glitches (like Google Now freezing, lock-ups that require a reboot, features like Smart Lock's trusted places not working, etc.).Sure, the phone has good battery life and only costs $150 (or $100 with ads) but it's a frustrating experience
Works great for a cheap smart phone, handles anything I throw at it, great battery life
Just the right size, good battery life and a great camera.
It's a great phone, fantastic price, easy to use, wonderful features, blah, blah,
It Is a good phone except for one important feature, the GPS doesn't work on these phones
Another AWESOME feature of this phone is it can adopt your SD card and use it as internal memory, that is right, the SD card acts the same as internal memory so you can install a large SD card and have plenty of space
And apprently the seller is no concerned as they have failed in several months to even acknowledge my review
For me, first of all it has to be a phone -- crazy as that may be;-)
decent phone, soso camera, good FM radio for baseball games
I bought this phone as an emergency backup and I actually decided to keep it as a daily driver for a while.*Amazing Battery life.*Smooth Operating System*Performance is not stellar but good enough for basic tasks (email, web browsing, messaging apps, YouTube, social media).*Back Camera is decent in a well lit room, crappy in low light.*Front Camera is about the same
To which I answered, "That's why I have a great DSLR camera"

Básic phone with decent screen, the only cons for this phone is camera, specially for recording, freeze too much
Apparently this is a problem with all versions of the 4th gen Moto G and is due, at least in part, to the lack of an accelerometer (compass). This makes the phone pretty useless since GPS is an essential feature to me
I was very happy with my 3rd generation Moto G, and exceptionally disappointed with the 4th generation play.
I paid 10 dollars for the Premium version as the free one did not work as well
I'm hoping that the receptacle unit's GPS will actually work.02/04/2017 Update: Been using the current replacement infrequently for the last month, it's been working fine, but in the last week the GPS has started to fail on this unit as well

I should have tried to get this phone repaired earlier, but I thought the GPS issue would get resolved and it never did.
i live in lima peru just bought a nano sim with the same number in my mobil company ( claro)gsm 3g 4g its ok good
I did not notice any GPS issues during the 2 days I was using it before I sold it on to a friend
I used this as my primary phone for about 9 months and the phone itself is still working (with the exception of an odd GPS issue).

This time I was ready, no more pushy sales people, no more iPhone fanatics just get me a phone.

I replaced my iPhone with this when it broke and I am quite happy that I did not pay hundreds of dollars for my new phone when this one works well enough for me.
Easy to use.very durable I have dropped many times.price is great.
hell I had the Iphone 3 before this and was still good,
