This would have worked out for me because (1) it would allow for more spacing underneath the bottom shelf, and (2) a lower top shelf would mean I could raise the metal pieces higher and use all 4 screws from the wall mount to secure the metal pieces, instead of using the included large washers (go back to step 3 for reference).-Correct the "Engrish" (not correct English grammar) in the directions

In a last ditch effort, I removed the top shelf to attempt a single shelf with the bars reaching all four screws of the TV.

If you look at picture 2, you will see there is a lot of space which is unnecessary seeing as how I haven't seen an electronic device tall enough to reach from the bottom to the top shelf in a long time
