Smell is very bad exactly as many other reviewers have noted - seems to be a chemical used in the leather earpads

I see the manufacturer is posting replies to these comments with suggestions on how to deal with the bad smell, but in my book, you should not have to go through extra hoops just to make something useable

You really have to stick your nose in it and I’m incredibly sensitive to smell and hate the stale cigarette smell, but they don’t bother me
