Excellent product!**Update**-Not long after writing my review, the hot plate started to rust over and just looks disgusting.

Now the plate that keeps the coffee warm is dead, after only a little over a year.

Update:Died after 18 months... won't draw up water and the hot plate is completely rusted

The hot plate corrodes quickly

Only complaint was the hot plate rusted early on and from then on was covered in gravelly bits

WHY THE HOT PLATE IS A JERK

I've only had this coffee pot since January and 3/4 of the hot plate is rusted

The hot plate was not heating

The second time, we had used the filter and could only guess that it happened because the carafe wasn't seated exactly in place (it was definitely fully on the warming plate, though)

The first feature to fail (after 10 years) was the "strong" setting, &, then recently, the hot plate.

After using it once, I noticed speckling on the warming plate, like the coating is failing

Only drawback is that the pause and serve function has never worked very well: it will always dribble some and then scorch the hot plate so that we end up just waiting until the whole brewing process is finished even if we'd rather not

Warmer plate quit working within two weeks, so we are returning for a refund and will be buying a different brand.

Brew temp was 183.2F and finished coffee(12 cup with pot off hot plate) 179.9.

It won't pump water or heat the hot plate beneath the pot.

Every time I remove carafe to pour a cup of coffee, it drips and and leaks on to the hot plate.

WHY THE HOT PLATE IS A JERK

Other than the warming plate, the entire machine is cheap plastic, just what you would expect from Mr Coffee.

I like the coffee it makes, BUT the warmer plate rusted in less than a year.

The Thermal Option version detects when Thermal Carafe is used and disables the heat plate,

All the lights turn on but the plate doesn't get hot and it doesn't brew at all

Otherwise the water can seep down onto the hot plate and sizzle

But more frustrating is that the it doesn't read that we're using the glass decanter so the hot plate shuts off immediately after brewing and doesn't keep the coffee warm for very long

I could not get it to start brewing again and the hot plate seemed to turn off as well

It has two in the hot plate circuit, and was easy to fix

This is a good coffee pot, but there is no temperature adjustment for warming plate

I needed a new coffee maker after my warming plate cracked making me scared it could be a fire hazard.

My first one of these l got over a year, l could have kept cleaning it with vinegar which works, but opted for a new one

Still working fine as of 7/15/16 - months later.

Everything is as neat and in place as it should be, but it still makes a mess

If I had bought for my home, I would have sent it back but can suffer with it as we don't make it to the cabin very often.

It stopped working as of today (2/15/2017) for no apparent reason.

All of the buttons and LED displays still work as if everything is fine--never used any of them but the brew now button.

We are disheartened as we have used Mr. Coffee drip coffee makers for 30 years

Almost bought a more expensive coffee maker but after reading the reviews in Consumers Report, I decided to try this one as the reviews were high and it hasn't disappointed as it makes great coffee.
