I fully admit this could be in part due to my own inability to properly grind/tamp espresso manually, but any shot that takes 15 minutes to pull is going to be exposed to heat for too long and taste burnt

My only problems with these is that (a) they break down after a few months (even with cleaning, I've seen multiple of these get clogged and break down, maybe it's because of all the calcium in Florida tap water?); (b) they're made with solid metal piping inside, so even when they get calcium buildup, you can't break them open and fix them yourself, you just have to buy a new one); and (c) the espresso gets cold fast, leading me to believe it wasn't hot enough to begin with

After searching many different brands and finding that even more expensive espresso makers had issues, I decided to stick with Mr. Coffee.
