It works, but some of the finish came off the hot plate before I ever used it.

This keeps my cup almost as hot as the hot plate on a Mr Coffee Brewer as long as I put a silicone drink cover on it.

Instead of repainting the hot plate, I would suggest getting some paint remover, and just remove all the paint on the hot plate
