The smell was giving me a headache and my throat felt uncomfortable whenever I used it

One issue is the fact that it leaves a weird smell to your drink as it sits on the warmer

The electrical smell is weird too.

While it works nicely, the one I received had some scratches on the top and there was a burning chemical smell whenever I turned it on

Otherwise without a weird smell, I’d give a 5-star.

Works great and puts out just enough warmth for optimal candle smell.

When I took my coffee cup off the warmer, the coating on the plate had already started to scrape off and the warmer smelled like melting plastic

I am not much for smoke in the house, but love nice smelling candles smelling up the entire house

Despite the strong burning rubber smell, this product doesn't work for wide base or oversized coffee mugs.

For the price you can’t go wrong but it does give off a weird smell

I did notice a burning smell the first day I used it, and noticed some of the black paint on the warmer pealed, and small scratches show up daily, so it's not perfect, but it gets the job done

Super simple, on off feature, first time use there was a strange smell not sure where from maybe from ceramic cup being heated bottom up, I do agree with previous reviewer to cover up the cup while using heater , smell now no longer an issue, cup warm, such a good addition next to my spot on the sofa, no longer have to keep getting up to reheat my coffee/tea at the microwave, been using it so much paint peeling, not a problem still works great

and I notice an odd smell when it’s turned on

Update.2/22/21.. this warmer lasted about s month and a half

It doesn’t keeps keeps beverage’s warm in a lot of types of cups etc

this is not the mug warmer’s fault but yours, dear warm beverage drinker

I love my Mr CoffeeI’m at work 6 days a week and the best thing is the be able to enjoy my coffee or hot tea everyday without rushing my drink to just enjoy
