I use mine to warm up hard wax (for waxing my legs) and a candle warmer because I have cats and an open flame is just a terrible idea

I got the black warmer with the black hot plate and the first time I set a mug on it the black paint scratched off the hot plate

After 45 minutes, the water is still 120 degrees F. Perfectly suitable temperatures for tea and coffee both, remember that scalding temps are only 10 degrees higher so this is likely the hottest any approved warmer will get for safety and liability reasons

At this point three months later, if I overheat the coffee (again in a mug with the right-sized bottom to maximize heat), cover it and place it on the hot warmer, it slows the loss of heat substantially as opposed to being uncovered and with no warmer.
