I found the description of this product to be deliberately misleading - states "leather" in the proper title, then later (in smaller print) notes "vegan" leather -- i.e. plastic).

Corner metal guards have sharp points and can give a poke in the arm holding the portfolio.

My previous choir folder had the strings, and that worked well for regular music, but this one is better when you are working out of regular printed sheets of paper.
