Every time we would use the adapter cups, the coffee grounds would leak out inside the unit and was a pain to clean up

It does hold exactly 40g of coffee beans, enough for one press, but that’s all.

It is not good for plumbing to empty the remaining coffee and also pour the coffee grounds into raw sink and possibly clog the plumbing.

(how many coffee grounds can go down a drain in one's sink before you have a problem?).
