It struggles to drive my 250 ohm DT 1990s, but it shines best with just about any in ear monitor you want to use and efficient headphones (think 25-100 ohms for best results).Probably one of the best DAPs in it's price range.

I can tell you that this device is NOT meant to be a super-crazy-end-all of sources; it is meant to be a mobile transport to be used in conjunction with great headphones, and an external DAC/AMP

(Wow!) & the HiFiMan Sundara & various portable headphones with no complaints, just great sound.
