Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S49 Keyboard

    • Obviously if you aren't running Kontakt there are cheaper controllers that will do the same.
    • Best midi keyboard controller on the market in this price range
    • This controller seems most useful as an extension of Mashcine and I do plan on getting one that works because it will enhance my workflow with that software
    • In conclusion, one of the best controller keyboards available but really only worth the price if you combine it with NI Komplete 9 or 10 as this is what it was designed for
    • NI will continue to improve the functionality of the KK software and this controller will only become more useful as time goes on
    • With that problem, the controller is practically useless
    • None of the buttons and knobs worked basically paid for an overpriced MIDI controller with none of the features that make this keyboard special actually working
    • If you have patience to read the copious and repetitive manuals written with difficult and overly verbose wording, you can swing into this hardware and use it as a valuable controller.
    • With the KK software, I can control Komplete sufficiently well from an inexpensive controller, and because the control on the keyboard is relatively limited, it is not really that much more tedious to use the mouse to tweak settings.
    • The S88 is a great keyboard controller, however do yourself a favor and just buy from the manufacturer (native instruments or Sweetwater) or any other 3rd party site
    • If you use a lot of Native Instruments' products, you will find this controller very handy (and good-looking to boot.)
    • There are too many great keyboard controllers out there, and some less expensive, to deal with issues like this.
