I used to have a no-name cheap chinese pocket projector (about the size of two phones atop each other) and this is brighter, better battery and has a speaker (the other does not) however the other had a 1.3mm audio out which is useful (especially as the bluetooth audio here isn't) and it also had a microsd card slot, which again is handy to load content and works around the limitations of the onboard memory (which is only 8GB to start with and most of that is taken by the OS and apps).Having an android OS onboard though is great and something the cheap chinese model didn't have, it just makes things so much easier having it native to the device, rather than trying to mirror netflix from my phone
