I really want to give 4 or 5 stars to this product but the software is buggy and product is not well tested which prevent it from reaching its hardware's full potential

The software from the perspective of media playback is lacking.

The one drawback is the software, but with Netflix and YouTube working well I cant complain too much

And the FireStick totally bridges the software issues they will fix eventually.

The hardware (e.g., image, sound, battery) is great, the software could be better, but as others have stated, quickly remedied with the use of a Chromecast or similar device

so here's hoping a good software update will address the bugs... if it does, this thing will be on everyone's Christmas wish list this year!08/24/14

Also for some reason my MS Surface pro will connect to the HDMI port without issue, as well as my Xbox One X, while my brand-new MacBook Pro will not.
