I no longer have to worry about harsh shadows from direct sunlight on the subject and wait for sunrise or sundown (though that's a great time to take images as well)

Just have your assistant or set up a C-stand rig to place the shoot through translucent and have it diffussing the sun if you are going for softer shadows on the subject.

I love these things and they work so well when you need a more soft light, or to get rid of harsh shadows

The filters work great - nice for taking pictures in full sun when you don't want harsh light and hard shadows

The wedding was outdoors and it was a very bright day so this certainly helped to decrease weird facial shadows in the post-ceremony portraits

This light reflector seems to be well made, and although I have yet to use it, I am sure it will work as it should.
