Well, lets start off with this, its a decent boom arm

I'm not a professional but wanted a decent boom arm to help me record audio for basic videos and screencasting I do at work.

The boom was a little stiff when first using and seemed to be a bit stuck

On a positive note, the springs and boom and quite strong, stay pretty well in place, move easily etc.

I was thoroughly enjoying this boom

This boom was really affordable and is sturdy enough to hold my condenser microphone in place.

(see note 2)Originally, the boom was unable to hold my microphone.

The boom tho is priced accordingly and does the job it was meant to do, VERY GOOD BEGINNER BOOM.

Couldn't ask for a better boom

This adjustable mic boom is very effective for start up podcasters.

People warn to invest in a good boom arm and I have to completely agree after trying this one.

That's what I get for purchasing a cheap boom arm.

After just weeks of use, the knobs to tighten down all the joints are either stripped, or can't grip enough to hold my mic in place.save your $$ and spend a bit more on a better quality rode boom

they came with condenser microphone kits for podcast, nw700we've been releasing our podcast for 6 months now, and have been putting on a live stream for the past two weeks, and are getting great results with the mics..the mic booms are holding up as well as can be expected.. just keep in mind that it isn't a RODE or a blue, or even an on-stage... it looks like the kind that come with desk lamps...after 6 months of use... just be deliberate when you position it

Perfect cheap mic boom would buy again

It is an outstanding boom arm for the price and does the job perfectly, but the only complaint I have is that it is not able to be used on the back of a desk.

great little suspension Boom

I currently have a Blue Yeti mic with a shock mount attachment and besides the shock mount screw always becoming loose and making my mic swing, the boom works perfectly well

The boom is white instead of black, and it lacks the extra holes for spring tension adjustment that are pictured on the box

The whole boom seems to lean if the arm doesn't extend out the right way

Hence, I've tried a couple of more expensive longer boom arms, but either the lack the range of motion to come straight out and slightly down, or they just don't work well with a light mic.

This boom works well for my NW-700 mic

That said, once I had it all mounted, attached to my desk and knob adjusted/tightened, it has proven to be a really impressive, light weight and very portable suspension boom

It makes turning the boom annoying - either the screw is so tight the mount moves, or it's so loose the boom almost inevitably pops out.

Basically, the boom is loose in the boom holder, and screwing it down changes the boom position from limp to erect.
