NEEWER Adjustable Microphone Suspension Boom Scissor Arm Stand, Max Load 1 KG Compact Mic Stand Made of Durable Steel for Radio Broadcasting Studio, Voice-Over Sound Studio, Stages, and TV Stations

    • The metal is pretty flexible when it shouldn't be
    • Poor quality metal, entirely too flimsy, just a cheap quality product
    • The metal is cheap and bends very easily
    • This arm is made of very cheap metal and I dont really recommend buying it if you intend to be moving it around a lot
    • If the metal was stronger and the arm help when completely tightened, it would then be a good product.
    • Cheap metal breaks at base
    • Very weak metal in my experience, wore out in only a week or two and broke.
    • The mount arm seems good, but the clamp that secures it to the desk is made from a cheap metal, so the first turn to tighten it to my desk and eliminate the wobble sheered off the inner threads that hold the bolt
    • Started becoming loose, even if tightened, and metal tore through the bottom of the stand, and it split in half
    • To get the bad stuff out of the way:> The metal is flimsy and hollow, which could mean it will easily dent or bend if damaged
    • Steel is a hard metal to bend, the arm is cheap garbage!EDIT:I stand by what i said about this product being garbage
    • The posts bends far too easily and will eventually fail from repeated stresses as we work the metal back and forth.
    • The way it mounts to the deck clamp it really flimsy its just thin rolled sheet metal after a few months of use the mount started falling over
    • I was a little nervous before ordering this because a few of the reviewers had problems with loose joints and mentioned that the metal was flimsy - I have not had any of those
    • It marked up my desk, and the metal snapped and almost broke my close to $200 Condenser Mic within a few months, this is terrible, cheap Chinese $h1T!
    • This one has both an almost useless plastic adapter in the lame microphone holder and a better metal one ( but not as nice as the $4 one sold separately) to use it for a ¼” devise I need to use an adapter
    • Cheap very thin metal
    • It's made of metal but the metal is very thin and build quality is a bit suspect, BUT it works as it
    • Couldn't support the weight of a Blue Yeti, cheap metal snapped and dropped my mic on the floor
    • BUT its amazing quality, its almost 100% metal, and holds my Blue Snowball iCE in place with no issues
    • Also, the clip that attaches to your desk is made of weak metal, and in tightening mine to a point that it wouldn't wobble anymore, I actually bent it a bit
    • The description says it's metal, but it's a very sturdy metal
    • it'd be plastic but noo its metal and works SUPER well!
    • Yes, it is made out of tin or some weak metal, but if you don't step on it, it will be great for you
    • no, the cheap flimsy metal base that sits in the clamp, bent horrible, it is broken
    • The metal is now weaker
    • The metal is VERY cheap and thin and bends super easy
    • Adjust the arm to move the microphone over started to warp the metal and scratch off some of the paint
    • Made of cheap metal that gets bent easily.
    • Cheap metal breaks at base
    • The clamp part is made out of sharp metal that will harm whatever you clamp it too, and will scratch you bloody if you're not careful enough to avoid brushing it
    • ok for a small microphone, the clamp can not be adjusted tight to the table, the metals in the base between the arm spring sounds like is going break if you try tight to the table.
    • Beware though, it is fairly cheap metal
    • Cheap metal
    • Put small metal at the base inside hollow metal post that goes into the clamp to solidy and make it last longer.
    • Will last forever since it's hard metal
    • My only complaint is that the clamp (in particular, the adjustable metal cup) is rather poorly designed and can damage desks made of softer woods or composites
    • The clamp itself isn't good quality, but, like the cheap metal, can't exactly complain too much about the materials because of the price of the arm
    • It's just made with cheap metal
    • the part of the arm that slots in at the bottom, is SUCH CHEAP METAL, within a week it was sagging frequently, 3 weeks in, half the metal on that part had snapped, meaning it was rendered USELESS
    • Very flimsy Metal
    • It is good for the price but the metal is cheap and bends easily, after a couple months of use it did not function properly
    • Super cheesy hard to reposition thin cheap metal
    • Cross-section reveals improperly cast/substandard metals
    • I wouldn't recommend moving it too often as the metal bends fairly easy.
    • Clamps to desk well, and doesn't feel like flimsy metal, feels well made for only being $14
    • Also, the arm is made of a cheap metal that indents when you try to screw in a pop filter arm to it (which it will barely fit because again, this arm does not conform to any pro audio standards and is a square instead of the cylinder-shape that nearly every mic stand I've ever encountered)
    • Broke before I could use it -- the joints are made of extremely cheap metal and plastic
    • For new, its not very stable as in it swings around pretty easily, the metals all
    • The only thing I would advise anyone who is gonna get this is that the clamp seems to be made of cheap metal
    • Cheap metal that's easily bendable but is stable enough to hold my large diaphragm mics and surprising portable enough to store in a duffle bag with all my other travel studio gear
    • Nice durable metal construction with a smooth black finish to keep your setup looking sharp
    • Already had to purchase a new one as the first one bent, then broke because of soft metal and poor tack welds.
    • This is a high-quality mic stand that I've been using for a long time now and is really good!Pros:Nice metal materialWas able to move it around for wherever I was on my desk
    • The metal that this stand was made of created a tinny noise when speaking into my mic
    • This thing is extremely cheap; very flimsy thin hollow metal
    • It is cheap pot metal and will break if abused too much
    • Now the metal is permanently weakened and the stand does not stand up
    • See attached photo, base is made out of a cheap porous metal
    • Upon first glance, the parts appeared to be cheap stamped metal
    • As you can see the clamp to secure the boom bends the metal, and just using the stand has caused a fracture in the metal where it's about to snap off from the base
    • Worked fine for a few weeks but then the metal plug that secures the stand to the desk broke.
    • Not even at the plastic, but the metal was so cheap it actually split in half
    • The base rod that inserts into the clamp has completely failed due to weak metal support
    • Cheap thin metal lasted about 1 month p
    • Was great until the clamp that mounts it to the desk (the solid metal piece) snapped in half
    • Aside from the cheap metal, let's talk about what is actually nonfunctional about this arm
    • The metal by the base already warped within a week of purchase
    • This product straight out of the box is made with cheap metal, but that isn't what's so bad with this boom arm
    • Male part of arm that slides into female end of clamp is less than poor quality metal
    • It's cheap (cupped) metal that ruins the surfaces it's put to, and it slides everywhere no matter how tight you try to tighten it.
    • During a few recording sessions my keyboard clicks had interrupted an important e-sports play and it lost my friend his battle
    • n’t scuff up the wood
    • n’t feel like this will flop over or slide down under weight
    • there's not quite as much spring tension as I'd prefer
    • And as you know, when metal bends, it breaks
    • and it's still working just as good as when I got
    • It won't support a very weighty mic as there's just not enough tension even if you tighten the
    • This thing is about as sloppy as it gets
    • There is one small problem though and that is the base of it wobbles a
    • When you get this the box is misleading as it has a spring mount on the front of the box, and when you take it out it's this cheap plastic thing like in the thumbnail of the product on amazon.
    • Arm cant support mics such as
    • Bit wobbly on it's base but works as it shows
    • I do respect the company as a
    • It's not as flexible as
    • it works just as it supposed to
    • Bought in May and after a month it has started to bend and crack as of July.
    • Keeps my mic off my desk as well as off the
    • The springs hold the mic steady just as well as when I bought it, and the desk clamp stays tight with only ocassional tightening.
    • amazed as to how well this worked
    • Still not a fan I even HAD to remove it so forcefully, unsure as to why it's clamp was designed this way.
