The worst step drill bit I have ever paid for
-
Works great, pretty much the same as the deWalt bit at Lowe's they charge $50 for.
-
This bit was barely sharp
-
The little dent the 1/16 bit made was plenty to get started and keep the step drill bit on target
-
Unfortunately the bit burnt out at just under 3/4" on the first hole.
-
Take your time and let the bit do the work
-
excellent bit, very well built
-
Great drill bit.
-
Honestly, for the original one-off use it was great, no need to spend the money on a better bit if you'll only use it once
-
It drilled as smooth as silk and can't complain one bit
-
First off there are much better step bits out there, but for a fourth of the price this is an excellent bit
-
Tried drilling a 1 inch hole in a drum using oil to keep bit cool. couldn't get passed the second step in the bit
-
A standard bit would have likely worked better in a confined place.
-
went to Home depot purchased a better step bit.
-
This is probably the worst uni bit I have ever used
-
This bit works great.
-
Don't recommend this bit unless your planning to use if for one or two holes.
-
But it was 25% the cost of a like drill bit at a local big box store.
-
This was not a very good bit it did not cut and overheated even with cut
-
good bit, hardness is good
-
Excellent bit; I've used it for a number of jobs, and it continues to cut well.
-
Doing this it took probably between 5 and 8 minutes to drill the hole and the bit never got hot to the touch (touched it every time when stopping between lubrication
-
I used no lubricant and took about maybe 10 minutes to drill not over working the bite
-
and it's seen a good bit of use now
-
The worst step bit I've used so far.
-
Initially it was a good bit and did the job at hand but after 30 days and maybe 15 holes drilled it has become extraordinarily dull rendering it kinda useless.
-
This is a great quality bit and I 100% recommend it.
-
The bit worked perfectly for the 5 minutes that I needed it for.
-
Did not apply excessing pressure to drill and used oil to cool bit.
-
Made quick work of it, and after drilling like 8 holes, the bit is none the worse for wear.
-
I needed an exact hole in Luan mahogany sheathing and this bit was sharp enough to do it without ripping up the surface.
-
Be sure to follow the recommendations of other reviewers: take your time, use a slow drill speed, and don't let the bit get too hot.
-
The bit is now so dull its unusable.
-
Good bit for the money
-
This bit is junk in my opinion
-
The bit never got hot at all but still will barely make a dent in the stainless
-
Heat dulls the bit real quick so low speed letting the
-
the bit was sharp and took seconds to get my job done.
-
The brew pot killed the bit
-
Only used it for one job on a car roof so far but it workes just as well as a $50 bit
-
This bit immediately became dull and would not cut into the edger blade at all
-
Great bit
-
It's also nice to have a stepped drill bit on hand, one bit covers several sizes.
-
Amazing drill bit
-
Bought it to drill through a stainless brew pot... worked, but I nearly trashed the bit doing so
-
but I LOVE this bit
-
When I got about 3/4 of the way through, the bit was not very smooth - not like my other name brand bit.
-
Only reason not 5 stars is the coating on the bit came off with first use and chatters a bit.
-
Good drill bit, I drilled several holes in stainless steel with
-
So far this has been a good bit
-
Good, cheap drill bit
-
This bit works really well
-
Great drill 👍 bit
-
shipping was fast, bit burned up before I got the second hole drilled
-
I have only used this drill on plastic, which isn't exactly the best test of durability, but it is a solid and sharp bit, titanium coated, and the steps in sizing are well-marked
-
I increased two drill holes easily which took an hour, again slow and using cutting oil will help you!Good bit!
-
Watching videos on the internet on how to do this, a good drill bit should have done the job in ten minutes tops.
-
useless bit in my opinion.
-
But the bit did rapidly lose it's cutting edge no matter how careful I was not to burn it up
-
Only used it once so I can't speak to durability but the bit still looks plenty sharp
-
Great drill bit, easily cuts through most surfaces
-
All work well and the bit stays sharp.
-
Strong bit, good price
-
GREAT bit, no issue with heat or it burning up at
-
This drill bit work
-
This bit really didn't work at all for me.
-
Had a much more expensive bit before and this does the exact same job and performs the same
-
Highly doubtful this bit could go all day every day in an industrial context, but for the couple of holes I needed in my 18ga stainless steel sink for the garbage disposal air switch and the soap dispenser, this little bargain bit did it just as well as the 50$ one from the big orange store
-
This bit looks strange to my eye but is nothing short of wonderful.
-
Hopefully I didn't damage the bit by running it fast and hot the first time.
-
probably the worst drill bit I have ever bought
-
This is the worst drill bit I have ever used
-
The bit's pretty much useless to me now; it got worn after one use at one of the smaller steps.
-
But if you’re like me, and just *might* need to drill large holes in sheet metal or plastic from time to time, this bit should work fine for a good while, as long as you don’t abuse it.
-
Sharp biting action carved out holes fast
-
Worked perfectly, great bit.
-
Worked perfectly, great bit.
-
This bit worked perfectly for drilling an aluminum stock pot to install a bulkhead and spigot.
-
This bit is great
-
GREAT bit, no issue with heat or it burning up at
-
Kept the bit wet and it punched through to the desired size with no problem
-
The bit did a great job, no problem at all.
-
Great bit for the price
-
Didn’t even make it through one hole before the bit was garbage
-
I could've been doing something wrong or I could've gotten a bad bit.
-
Great price, bit works as advertised.
-
Used once and the bit was trash
-
The first one I opened wouldn't cut at all, simply dulled the bit on 1/16th inch thick steel
-
This bit worked great
-
This bit is nearly unusable after infrequent use over a few months.
-
great step bit
