Great speed and range

Let me tell you this is the best Range Extender I have ever used

Great extender, setup was very easy and it solved the problem we had with not enough range from the front to the back of our restaurant.

This extender put my house on fire with its dynamic range capabilities

The range seems pretty good though in terms of signal strength but not sure why I still drop signal at times

I bought this WiFi extender for the obvious reasons ... to extend and boost my range

Pay CLOSE attenuation when, in the setup process, the scanning window is shown to see what the signal strength is, especially in the 5 GHz band which gives very substantially faster transmission, but tends to have poorer range(signal penetration from the router)

However, I find myself a little skeptical about that, because when I took the tablet upon which I was running said Netgear signal strength app and put it right next to my router/gateway, it indicated 100% signal strength; but proclaimed that it only fell within the 'good' range, which lies halfway between the lowest 'poor' description and the best of scale 'excellent' description.

Netgear routers and extenders are both stable and have amazing long range capabilities.

I have always love Netgear products for decades and I am happy to buy this wi-fi range extender that compliments my new Netgear Nighthawk X8 ac 5300 which is currently the fastest and easiest to connect all my devices from security cameras indoors, outdoors, 2 iMac desktops and MacBook Pro laptop, and my desktop pc, several smart Tvs, Xbox one, ps4, Nintendo wii u, iPhone, iPad, iPod, 2 blu Ray players, Nest thermostat, nest protect, and my hue smart lights

Both of these issues are particularly frustrating because they aren't an issue of the excellent Netgear 802.11N access point I replaced it with or the excellent Netgear 802.11G access point that came before that

Sometimes 2G would stop working but 5G would be working or vice versa

Remember that "5G" means 5 gigahertz - a frequency - not like phone generation terminology "4G".

I put this range extender upstairs, and we now have clear 2.4G and 5G signals on the patio

I am NOT going to miss my old Amped Wireless SR20000G.

and I had two 5G media connectors (Linksys) that fell off the network periodically.
