Since my new house is a bit large than my previous house and with the addition of several Smart TVs, XBox, iPad, security cameras, smart home devices and other internet connected items, I just felt like my router was not reaching everywhere it needed to, but more importantly it was not providing all my internet connected devices in my house with a stable internet connection

Configure each router to use Channel bandwidth 40MHz and all routers use the same channel like 165.

Upgraded old Netgear router with Nighthawk AC1900 (R7000) and added the AC1900 Extender to get better wireless Internet throughout my home....easy setup and now have better and stronger wi-fi connection.

With this option you can receive a speeds closer to whats coming out of your main router and if your main router is also AC compatible sometimes almost the full speed

My Internet provider supplies a proprietary router; so, the easiest way for me to get decent WiFi is to disable the WiFi support in the supplied router and deploy a separate access point
