Easily the best modem/router combo I've owned

Maybe I had a bad modem ??

I've been a long time Netgear user and find their modems and routers to be excellent and problem free.

I originally liked this modem for its performance (Dramatically better than the performance of the box I was renting from Comcast.

I was using a good modem with a great router previously (netgear nighthawk X8)

Went with the Arris Surfboard, faster modem, same features, cheaper.

Also, it appears the Netgear is most likely the manufacturer for Comcast since it is identical to the big, intrusive and ugly modem/router we all have the privilege of renting!

This modem works very poorly with Comcast/ Xfinity and if you search google for reviews done by Programmers and Tech reviews, this modem routers firmware is very poor

This is a great cable modem and easy to administer with the Netgear Genie..

Before buying the modem, I called my cable provider, and was given a list of compatible modems

This modem isn't as fast for surfing the internet (though it streams HD fine), can't handle as many devices (with 4 people in the house, we might have one 2 tvs, a lap top, and a mobile device or two), and we keep having to reset it (which can sometimes take 10-15 minutes and multiple resets to get going again)

Its one most reliable wifi modem

Great modem, very easy to setup and the speeds are great, been using for 1 year with no problems at all

Modem works very well, hookup with Comcast Xfinity was easy, although the phone portion of the hookup took a while (almost 20 minutes).I use the AC1900 as a cable modem only - or in "Bridge Mode" as I like my external router

This is the worse modem router I have every had.

On paper this is the best Modem combo out there making the premium price being paid worth the price, Almost This modem kept power cycling one after another then at other times randomly this is the second time it happen with a different modem = same problem

When I called about it, Netgear support said I no longer had any tech support, and they took no responsibility for sending me the wrong modem-router.

This modem is outstanding

While this proved to be a great modem overall it did not solve the problem and we wound up cancelling the phone service and keeping only the internet.

Last August Comcast sent me a letter saying my personally-owned modem was obsolete, and invited me to choose a new one from their list of compatible hardware.

Good modem/router with average range although I needed a range extender to get it to the entire house (1 story).

I did however see better improvement in wifi network signal strength (especially with 5G) reaching further in the house than Xfinity modem ( yes new modem in exact same spot)....even though I save $10/mos for the leased router it will take 27 months to break even so not sure this is worth the investment unless I stay with Xfinity for the next 5yrs...

Modem and WiFi worked fined for the first year and was pretty stable.

I have Blast Internet through Comcast, and replaced the Comcast Xfinity issued Arris Modem Router TS1682G.

I was scared to replace my Comcast modem because I think I not going to find nothing like the good modem I have

I have been looking for a Xfinity compatible Modem router with voice that could handle high speed internet and also excellent voice quality for my landline.
