Netgear has always been a very reliable brand.

I really like this brand.

Netgear is a solid brand

Netgear used to be a reliable brand and updates were never an issue for me, but it seems like they’ve either layed off the wrong software engineer or provoked them into leaving, as their products don’t seem sound software wise.

and it works just as well as more affordable brands

I asked him why would I spend more on tech support than the router was worth and just spend that money on a brand new and improved router, but he assured me it was normal for routers to need this reconfiguration

Definitely recommend this brand, it has been go to us.

My thinking was netgear was a reputable brand and would probably make routers comparable to cisco or perhaps even better

I had old version of this that lasted YEARS with no issues, but new version is not dependable, not sure I can trust this brand anymore, reminds me of faulty Belkn routers.

Binding a device to a fixed IP address doesn't work as well as it did in the Tomato firmware on the Belkin, but seems to take hold eventually

works as it should with xfinity internet, easy install.

This replaces a D-link that I had that was difficult to log into and in which the wireless function failed after only a few days
