I did google this and saw many people have the same problem with AC 5Ghz

I've seen people having the same issue just days after initial purchase

Just google "Netgear WNDR4500 flashing amber light" and you'll see just how many people are struggling with this unit.

, I think it's best to stick with a new one because it seems like where people have problems is when they get a router that isn't new.

I can see that countless other people have suffered the same issue

Could NOT have been easier to get it setup to replace my now-dead 4 y/o NetGear router.
