The Netgear Nightgown X10 R9000 substantially improved my internet speed

I have gigabyte internet which downloads 920 Mbps ethernet and the Nighthawk AC2300 give me an amazing 550 Mbps WiFi download speed.

I have Verizon Gigabit service, and purchased this router with the goal of improving the throughput speeds that I get while currently using the Apple Airport Extreme wireless routers

This thing is a beast and has amazing speed and doesn’t get bogged down with HD streaming on multiple devices or gaming

It had the same problem as the C7800 with it's 2.4Ghz giving slow speeds and connection drops

I have to be 25 feet to get even a marginal speed

But when you uncheck the Smart Connect (which is a pain to search for the different channels) it stayed connect longer but had terrible speed.

Really bumped up our speed and handles multiple devices very well.

The speeds are awesome as long as you don't want to control the network

The Nighthawk X10 has done everything I hoped it would do, which is: to have great range, deliver fast speed and have 6 ports for hardline connections

the only thing I can say negative about this product is the adaptive speed settings

The only issue is that I have to restart the router every 24 hours or else the speeds slow below 100mbps

As it turns out, the X10 does no better range-wise or speed wise than the X8 or XR500 anywhere in my house; no worse, but certainly not significantly better
