OK, so yes, this costs a lot, and it has a fairly large foot print, but it works and I get great coverage and speed, which is what I was after.

This router is OK but still the coverage is not optimal and I still need to utilize my range extender; and the signal, while better than the one deliver by the ASUS is not optimum

The router also did not work as it was supposed to: I just couldnt connect at all to the 2.4 GHz band (Netgear73)

It is probably something I am doing wrong, but reverted back to old router as it is just easier.- Size: Without a doubt this is the biggest (2 - 3 times bigger) router I ever seen.

Had the X-8 for first two weeks work great, until 5G-1 stop working and 5G-2 slowly stop working

I have to disable it or not using the 5G network as it refuses to connect, or connects but extremely slow.

Updated: 12/29: the 5G is not stable and becomes not usable.

My old router would not work in the upstairs and was terribly slow, 5g would not even be available on the third floor

Then there are the disconnects involving 5G wi-fi, another well documented issue with this router

5G has never been usable, as the signal comes & goes at this distance.

The X8 is very nice 5G for my computers,phones

This thing has a great signal, and using the combined smart 5G channel is absolutely the best.

I configured main 2.4G and smart connection for the two main 5G, and also a guest 2.4G.

Loses 5G –both.
