    NETGEAR Nighthawk X8 AC5000 Tri-band WiFi Router, Gigabih Ethernet, MU-MIMO, Compatible with Amazon Echo/Alexa (R8300)

    • The infamous "Looping Reboot" problem.
    • Still works has problems with 30+ devices connected to it
    • Replacing that cable corrected the Internet access problem
    • I have had problems with access in our home for 4 years because of number of devices, and wireless interference
    • the first one didn’t resolve the bad config problem.
    • No strange disconnects or any other problems
    • When placed behind a Time Warner modem, it has significant problems with the connection dropping, bandwidth disappearing and ping latency increasing dramatically
    • Only problem was a small glitch in the first week one day it kept kicking me off the net but after 15 min talk with customer service who I will add was very kind and helpful and updating its firmware the router has been top notch and reliable at any demands I have come across so far
    • and I have no stutters, very low ping times, and no problems
    • I've issued an order for a replacement, hopefully the replacement will not have the problem
    • I found two videos on YouTube where reviewers where having weird problems and repeated wireless network "crashes" and loss of signal as well
    • Problem of router losing WiFi internet post power outage needs to be fixed
    • Well this solved the problem, now some devices can't get on the new router at all.
    • Netgear has yet to issue a firmware update to correct the problem although it has been known for months.
    • The unit had a catastrophic problem.
    • Ultimately had to contact ISP for assistance over the phone also switched out modem which did not correct the problem
    • but if the entire router hangs (and it looks like this has been a problem for the last year
    • Easy to set up, no problems so far.
    • anyhow, a factory reset seemed to correct the problem... for another day
    • Now I suspected lightning strikes were causing the problem (3 of the 4 were damaged through the port)
    • Sorry to slam the product in feedback, but BS problems out of the box new?

    • The second one Amazon sent had the same problem and died in about an hour, entering the unrecoverable bootloop
    • I would avoid due to intermittent problems and poor customer service.
    • From the beginning, although Genie indicated that the router was connected to the Internet, I had intermittent problems getting my cabled desktop machine to connect to the Internet.
    • The problem is that firmware updates have killed mine twice in a year.
