The router and satellite unit randomly re-boot themselves several times a day without notice, dropping all connections, the SSID disappears from the list of available wireless networks to connect to for several minutes each time it re-boots.

The rep said to ignore that status message: that the app was buggy but to trust the network was working properly.

As long as it keeps functioning great, this is easily the best network solution I've had and a true advancement in technology.

If you want to easily store files on your internal ORBI network that are accessible by all computers on the network, you can't use a simple USB stick as a Network Accessible Storage Drive (NASD) -- you've got to buy an additional full-on ethernet NASD

I have my main Orbi router, placed 2 satellite Orbi's throughout the house and like magic, I have a solid network

Had some issues at first with “hardwired backhaul” connection to satellite (no internet at all if hardwired) but a firmware version update resolved and now network is rock solid and WiFi is covering entire home, and backyard...

And wow, the new network is so fast!

No more wifi, crashed my home network and internet

Orbi doesn't allow you to break out a 2.4G network which means about all smart home products (plugs, locks, etc) will not install

Linked to one network, move, network would get slow, then drop, and then pickup another router ultimately pausing everything

Will give 5 star if the satellite router got a stable 5g network

I highly recommend this mesh network for anyone trying to solve wireless network issues for ranch style or two story homes with more or thicker walls over 2,500
