Having the network of AEB routers, a hardwired 100 Base T switch and a few other goodies has accomplished my goal of good coverage, but I think that today you can get the performance that my setup yielded with a lot less effort by getting a Netgear Nighhawk series router, in particular this excellent AX8 unit
