NETGEAR Nighthawk Smart WiFi Router (R7000) - AC1900 Wireless Speed (up to 1900 Mbps) | Up to 1800 sq ft Coverage & 30 Devices | 4 x 1G Ethernet and 2 USB ports | Armor Security

    • I was apprehensive about using Netgear, but I was told this was a great device
    • The WiFi device drops my wireless devices well inside of my previous Netgear 1700.
    • While the router is designed to support up to 30 devices, I didn’t have quite so many that I could actually test simultaneous.
    • I am getting the full advertised, internet speeds at my devices, over the air, mind that I have numerous smart devices and computers on the network
    • I love any device that comes with an app
    • It has the 2.4G network that has speeds up to 600mbps for older/cheaper devices as well as two 5G networks that you can have the router automatically balance all your devices between the two to get the best speed.
    • Home WiFi Devices - smart phones, Laptops, Tablets and home smart devices.
    • I loved this device.
    • this is slower than my 3yr old iptime routeriptime: 200-300mbpnetgear AX8: 100-200mbpasus GT-AX11000: 300-500mbpmay result better with 802.11ax compatible devices
    • Works well does a great job, support after 90 days is weak but otherwise a solid device
    • Very easy to set up and have application from your phone to control your router, you can disconnect any device from internet thru your mobile app, its cool for parents to control wifi for the kids, i also control LTE too from my phone , i have covered all my house , I don’t have any bad spot , I recommend the new generation wifi 6 super fast.
    • OS still has some bugs and need improvement but loving the device overall.
    • The R7000 supports all my devices, of which I have a lot, at high speeds even from in my comm closet that I put together
    • My internal network speeds are greatly improved and I don't experience any issues even with the myriad of convenient home devices I continue to install
    • You can also choose between 5G and 2.5 quicker wifi if your device is capable as I'm using the smart connect which maximizes the connections
    • I live in a house with several other gamers, streamers and a wide variety of smart-home devices that all need a reliable network to connect to, especially one that can maintain a lagless, low-ping experience for gaming.
    • I run a number of gigE connections as well as several 2.4 and 5ghz wifi devices through it all day
    • This device was easy to setup and is working with no problem.
    • What kind of a fool do you take me for, my previous router had no problem connecting my devices to the internet
    • Wired devices work great, blazing fast and rock-solid connection
    • After setup the app allows the ability to change basic functions including Device Manager which allows disabling an attached device temporarily (a great feature for parents!
    • So to sum up, if you need an incredibly reliable, fast and easy to use WiFi router to build out your network, this device will not leave you disappointed!
    • never have problems adding devices.
    • I mainly bought for the 5GHZ usage as all my devices between computers, Ipad’s, Phones, TV’s, Nest, Xbox and PS4 have the capability and the signal is far more superior compared to my ASUS router
    • I do have a LOT of smart devices on the network and this handles them like a champ
    • Seems to me, if you are advertising a device as AX-compatible, maybe it should meet the MANDATORY standards for the AX designation so as to avoid any misunderstanding among users counting on those features
    • Tired of these second rate support reading scripts without any actual true training to support these devices.
    • All my devices would lose WiFi after a few hours and I would have to do a hard boot to get the back connected
    • All of our smart home devices went offline since they were on the 2.4GHz
    • Great Device
    • But the more devices I add the slower my network became
    • Ethernet ports - has more of them than other routers and the dual speed feature, which I didn't test due to not having a suitable target device
    • Before, I was using my ISP’s standard router and the WiFi was slow as molasses since the limit on their was only 14 devices, so once I had more than 14 everything started to slow down
    • Liked how I could seamlessly use multiple devices at once and not lose speed due to high ping.
    • My beef with this powerful device is that it's firewall does not have proper inbound filtering
    • Device works perfectly.
    • I bash this device however Ive also doubled down on the manufacturer as Ive just returned this one and bought the upgraded model
    • The best part - my smart home devices are quicker to respond
    • IF you edit access page to LAN dhcp which you should if you are like me and have 30+ devices (servers etc etc ) you will have conflicts, unknown devices AND!!
    • Great device.
    • Even though I don’t have any AX spec devices yet, this is backwards compatible with AC, etc, and is doing a very good job with all my devices
    • and we've had no problems connecting multiple devices.
    • We stream tv and have about 18 devices, works very well very pleased
    • I am out of return period and stuck with a faulty device.
    • That being said, the one true caveat is that to take full advantage of a WIFI 6 router, your devices need to support the WIFI 6 standard
    • My desk top works fine but not other devices, still slow
    • My desk top works fine but not other devices, still slow
    • It covers our smart home devices, 1 server, 1 laptop, Google device, Alexa, 2 ipads and 2 ROKU and 1 apple TV and has allowed me to watch hi-def videos on my devices at the same time without issue
    • My only complaint is that the mobile app is lacking features and needs to be optimized as well as the desktop app and the overall information about the product, its features, how it accomplishes its speeds and how to properly set up and fine tune the device
    • That failed, so they said the power outage irreparably "corrupted" my firmware and therefore the whole device was dead
    • I very much like this router because it offers really great range and a lot of administration options that I haven't had access to in the past with previous routers, my only issues seem to be struggling with the best settings on the QoS area but otherwise. great device and defintly an upgrade on what I had before.
    • My desk top works fine but not other devices, still slow
    • WiFi printer recognized and working and all other devices as well
    • I would recommend not connecting local devices directly to the LAN ports
    • So it only shows one 5 GHz band and it automatically will separate older and newer devices so they won’t slow each other down with different channels
    • What I don't like about it is it seems like it can't hand more than a couple devices at once
    • The Nighthawk device is solid and looks nice too.
    • Much better for multiple devices and high bandwidth streaming like 4k Netflix.
    • The range issue might very well not be an issue at all with ax-devices (i.e. perhaps 3/4 bars will actually give speeds expected of 3/4 bars rather than a speed expected from 1 bar), or perhaps a firmware update will solve the issue.
    • Started having problems with it dropping devices from wireless several months after purchasing it.
    • All my devices work at top speed without any problems.
    • Still, my problems won't go away and it is completely unacceptable losing access to my SmartThings Hub, my security cameras, my Google Hub AI assistant, and other useful and essential smart home devices
    • No issues connecting legacy AC wireless devices (Android and iOS)11
    • It's an impressive piece of technology that easily juggles our modest multiple device streaming needs without any hiccups at all.
    • Any devices on my wireless connection loses all speed
    • Great router many devices in our household and the router is able to keep up a connection to all devices
    • yet I cannot utilize those features since my devices are not compatible for it
    • Every device in my home has no connectivity issues anymore and it was the best purchase I could have made for myself
    • Actually, we have a combination of console and PC gamers here, and always used to have lag issues on PC when the console gamers were playing together, but that issue is no more with this router! My one issue with this router is range...and perhaps this will be improved when more AX-enabled devices start hitting the market and the AX technology continues to evolve, but right now, my AC1900 does better in the range department.
    • Really bumped up our speed and handles multiple devices very well.
    • I have several other Netgear devices in my house that work fine and have been in use for years
    • This device worked well for about 1.5 months
    • Gained about 150 Ft more coverage over the Nighthawk R8000.Nash's nice with the Nighthawk X6S. Turn on Smart Connect for better reliability & compatibility with slower devices.
    • With multiple devices streaming shows, online school usage as well as heavy gaming from teens and little kid apps, I couldn’t ask for a better or more helpful device for connection.
    • Also love the extra GiB Ethernet ports, one of the main reason I purchase this Totally Awesome device
    • I used a cabled connection and made sure it completed before touching anything, but when it went to restart itself, it never recovered, just flashing LEDs) and it bricked my device completely, no recovery possible
    • For a small home network when reliability isn't an issue, this router is otherwise nice, but if you have maybe 15-20 various devices that may be connected, and losing your network at random times is a problem, I'd avoid it.
    • Now multiple devices are not a problem.
    • From the moment I began using the routing all of the sudden all my devices would loose connectivity not only to the internet all also LAN.
    • Great device!
    • I can see (and name) devices that are connected to my network and easily disable devices I don't recognize or just want to disconnect
    • Great new AX8 Nighthawk has solved all issues with new demands from streaming services coupled with expanded use of smart home devices.
    • Works well does a great job, support after 90 days is weak but otherwise a solid device
    • If not, it's still an awesome wifi device that can save you from crawling around running wires
    • It has a strong signal, handles many more devices in an outstanding fashion and I like the firmware and the app is good
    • As such, this device is useless for its intended purpose
    • All our devices will just lose the Wifi signal all over the house, but 30 seconds to a minute later they reconnect
    • Overall, I expect this router will really shine once the technology matures a bit more and more ax-enabled devices become available.
    • Great improvement on connecting several phones and gaming devices.
    • Great improvement on connecting several phones and gaming devices.
    • Wonderful device for me.
    • Great device, worth the money.
    • The worse technology for an expensive device, after the setup it lost the configuration in less than one week, I did it again twice, all my cameras and devices was offline several times, it wasn't my provider issues, I'll keep my cheap and stable router tplink, it's just 1/3 of the NETGEAR router price, but it's much better, the apps and customer service is support have an additional fee
    • Combined with my new Netgear CM1200 modem, my network has never been faster and I’m future proofed for AX devices and gigabit Internet service
    • As I was discovering all of this and researching these issues in the NETGEAR Community Forums I started receiving notifications from my smart devices that they were losing WiFi signal and then after a minute or two they would reconnect.
    • Device was a breeze to set up and everything works as advertised.
    • I rely on my home network for a lot of important things, such as smart devices and a security system
    • The fact that all my smart switches and locks and streaming devices can connect when Windows can't is crazier.
    • but I have a lot of smart home devices and a few streaming and gaming devices which sometimes stutter with my previous router
    • Can't wait to upgrade my compatible devices to 10GBe on the same network to really take advantage of the speed.
    • lots of great options for adding secure devices, GB ports, port teaming and Guest Networks, but above all PERFORMANCE.
    • Great router, covers whole house and multiple devices well
    • We were getting just enough devices and internet speed increases through our network provider that our current router couldn't keep up.
    • Love the fact that this router has 3 different guest networks so you can isolate devices like cameras or Alexa devices from your main network.
    • It doesn't;t matter what the device it -- iPads, iPhones, Macs, PS4s, PCs, Firesticks, Roku's -- everything just loses Wifi connection
    • This device was just not an improvement over my old Airport Extreme with N - speed
    • No lag, no slowing of speeds even when > 30 devices are sucking up the WiFi like a Galaxy eating super massive black hole.
    • I have a good amount of smart devices connected to my internet
    • This Nighthawk currently supports 10 devices, shows no sign of slowing, and offers easy streaming
    • Loving the device, faster speeds, reaching farther distances
    • As of this writing the only client device available with the AX protocol in the latest Samsung Galaxy 10 SE.Depending on the service provider and subscribed services setup can be as simple as plugging the Nighthawk RAX8 into the jack of a cable modem or ONT to using it in conjunction with an existing gateway or router
    • I bought this router hoping it would be able to support my growing need of smart home devices
    • I'm now faced with prospect of disconnecting and reconnecting and all my smart home devices + needing to go through all the trouble of returning the defective router.
    • I highly recommend this device and any other hardware offered by Netgear!
    • This kills my remote access to every smart device at home
    • I purchased this router to replace my Linksys EA9300, I have longer rand and a steady reliable WiFi singnal no dropout or resetting my Linksys router was not fully capatible with my ISP but thank God this is and doing a great job for all my smart devices, cameras, IPTV and gaming system no delays at all I’m happy with my purchase and it future ready for AX compliance
    • Older devices obviously cannot take advantage of the faster wireless speeds as they
    • This has been a terrific device for my son's gaming system.
    • I was able to name my network the same as my prior router, which made keeping various devices throughout the house easy
    • It is easy to install and all of my smart devices where easily connected.
    • It will support up to 20 devices without any drop off and run 4k streaming on 3 devices at one time
    • Best device for our home
    • All my devices working better and or faster
    • Every device seems like its connected directly to ethernet
    • Love the fact that this router has 3 different guest networks so you can isolate devices like cameras or Alexa devices from your main network.
    • I had an older net gear router that was not able to handle the demands for the wired cat six connection and support the wireless devices in our home
    • This device excelled at downloading data.
    • Actually I can not manage my devices because all the app that is provided for that purpose simply vanished all the attached devices in my network after spending lot of time on blogs and internet the only suggestion that i found is to reset the router and some people complain that it only works for a couple of days
    • Have up to 14 devices connected and no lag, specially when streaming or watching live broadcasts
    • This device works as stated
    • Also for those who don’t know, all your existing devices will work on any WiFi 6 router
    • It’s not just a WiFi issue; our tv is hooked up to Ethernet and it too disconnects when the other devices stop working
    • I have multiple devices in my home, and I had improved the speed on all of them.
    • The real benifit is the ability to run BitDefender antivirus software directly from the router, meaning that all devices on your network are protected without installing anything on your devices!
    • All other devices perform quite well as far as I can tell
    • but I knew all my smart devices were working on rejoining the network so that could be slowing it down
    • It is able to handle all my smart home devices.
    • Initial setup hung on updating software (Closing browser window and going back in got past it).Works amazingly with very strong signal and can support many devices
    • The device doesn’t break a sweat
    • It took me a bit to figure out how to do port-forwarding on the unit, as opposed to the D-Link (which severely limited how many ports you could forward.
    • This will need to lie flat, however, as I
    • Ok not as strong as I imagine
