Amazing range

Upgraded to 1 gig speeds and this router is just amazing, good range, gives me great mbps wired or wireless for gaming, looks really cool, also has many setting you can mess around and monitor who's using your router so if someone is trying to piggyback off your wifi that you do not know, you can just block them and they won't be able to use it anymore, overall best router I have ever owned

Range is much greater than expected can still be connected on wifi with my phone about 50yards (minimal obstacles) away from router

Alas, we were not able to test this because the range of this router’s 5Ghz band is so good

once I shut it off, I see 500 Mb/s symmetrical in adjacent rooms (the range on the XR500 is awesome)!Definite recommendation from this networking novice who usually knows just enough to be dangerous!!

A had a Motorola sb6580, I used to have 4k streaming issues, my connection used to drop very often, and when I needed technical support from motorola they were not willing to help me without charging me(yes, 10 dollars to fix a problem with THEIR OWN firmware), so I was so fed up with the terrible quality from motorola I deviced to go with Netgear XR500, and its worth every single penny, Netgear offered me great support to set everything up, I no longer have connection issues, the connection range and stability from this router are freaking insane, I no longer have chronic lag issues when I play online games on my xbox, and this router offers plenty of of nice features such as the nice user friendly dashboard that makes it very simple and intuitive to set up, router looks very cool and after 3

Setup was a breeze and the range is fantastic

First and most important is that the wireless range on this router is very good to excellent throughout my 3000 sq ft home on both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands.

Range is very good (though nothing approaching my UniFi WAP) and throughput is decent even in places where the signal is marginal

The connections feel so crisp and clean as if you are literally playing offline

so I'll be returning this and going back to my old one which in my opinion works just as well as
