    New Super Mario Bros. 2

    • Whether you win or lose, the coins get tallied up in the total coin count for the game
    • You've got the gold flower, but you can also jump through gold rings to turn your enemies gold to the point that they'll drop more gold coins (and gold koopa shells that you kick leave a trail).
    • The fun part: coins everywhere
    • First, the main emphasis of the game (as if the cover art wasn't clear enough already): gold coins
    • When a block or enemy turns gold, they are able to produce golden coins, thus making Mario and Luigi's dreams of becoming rich that much closer
    • and i beat the game with the horrible 1 million coin prize
    • There are plenty of new features that make, as the package promised, collecting coins more fun than ever
    • Green pipes shower the world in gold coins
    • In this installment, however, it's pushed to the forefront as you'll literally be showered in coins at every corner; enemies cough them up, they spout from pipes and blocks, and there's even a power-up that gives Mario the Midas touch, i.e. the ability to transform the enemies and environments around him into shimmering gold coins
    • Sure, there's the gold flower, and it's definitely fun to use, but it's basically a souped-up fire flower - you throw gold fireballs at enemies to gain coins, and at brick blocks to turn them into coins
    • this may be disappoint to youThe new rush coin mode: well you must play 3 screens form a random selection to collect the maxium amount of coins the faster you can, it is fun and very
    • The big golden coin motif sounds gimmicky because it is, but at its best it adds a nice thematic sheen to the design and gameplay (the golden ring that transforms all enemies and parts of the surrounding environment into sparkling gold is a particularly nice touch). Many of Mario's most familiar power-ups return in NSMB2, including the Super Mushroom, Fire Flower and Tanooki Leaf, the latter of which finally once again grants the power of flight, a welcome addition to most any game
    • But now there are extra levels and an EXPLOSIVE COIN COUNTER.

    • Kinda too coin happy
    • Everyone loves collecting coins in the Mario games, but Nintendo took this WAY too far
    • Getting all the coins is really fun
    • The main draw is that it yields more coins than playing the main game, especially if you pay to download the extra courses, one of which can award 30,000 coins
    • This game is essentially a rehash of all those games with nothing unique added(excluding the lame-o coin feature)in
    • Golden koopa shells spew coins in in its wake as it spins along the level
    • There are a plethora of means to gain coins which range from the overpowered gold fire flower (which can destroy many enemies, blocks, and even rocks while giving you coins for everything destroyed by the spicy golden meatballs of death you fling), or turning enemies (such as koopas) into gold and kicking them
    • The only new thing here is the Gold Flower which allows Mario to shoot fire balls that turn bricks into gold coins for him to collect.
    • My son and I enjoy to play this game, is better than the one for Nintendo DS and easier than the one for Nintendo Wii, I like to collect coins and my son likes the challenges
    • Mario has always had coins, but never like this.
    • You get more abilities like the leaf, which lets you fly, gold flowers which is better than the flower, and adds gold coins to your counter, and the gold lwaf, which allows you to fly without having to run as far as witb the regular leaf
    • All the coins are a gimmick and one that gets old really fast
    • It's too easy and the collecting one million coins as a goal is a gimmick
    • This is a very fun remake of the older versions, but it has a very easy coin generating system that makes it very easy to rack up lives; if you can get around the ease of the game, it's still pretty fun.
    • The one thing it does seperate from mario bros wii is the coin system and the game wants you to collect 1,000,000 coins which is very fun but also kinda broken as you will easily have over 200+ lives by the time you do this
    • The game keeps a running total of how many gold coins you've collected, and the idea is to try to reach 1,000,000
    • The gold mushroom just gives tons of gold coins, and the gold flower just turns everything into gold coins, including enemies and blocks
    • This game is essentially a rehash of all those games with nothing unique added(excluding the lame-o coin feature)in
