Many other reviews do a very good job at analyzing the details of this lens.

So even with a tripod the lens does a good job of vibration control

Nikon did a great job on this lens, Great zoom range from 18- to 200 mm

It does great job to focus on small objects too

In summary: this lens won't replace all lenses in this focal range, but it does a respectable job of getting 18-200mm on your camera at one time

I just think they could've done a better job with the barrel.

However, Nikon has not done the best job damping the lens creep that this lens exhibits.

Nikon has done an amazing job in creating a lens with such a large zoom range that does not seem to vignette at the extreme end of the telephoto range.

I don't have a true macro lens, but this does a decent job with close-ups

The D7000 tends to overexpose in outside shots, but that's not the fault of this lens, which really does a good job of handling its whole range from 18 to 200 mm with little lens flare, overall good sharpness, and just generally good image quality
