This is a great lens for the amateur photographer who needs a good range of distances to take great pictures

Most of the time, I find my comfort zone is in the 24-35mm range, so I would keep my 18-55 attached 90% of the time, and I feel the same way with this lens, only now I can instantly take advantage of the other 10% - which often turns out to produce my favorite pictures

I really like this lens, the pictures it take are very good,and I am so glad I could get it to take on my vacation to the BIG

The pictures I got from this lens are much more vibrant than the old one that came with the original D90 body.

My 18-200mm VRII lens works very well and takes some very nice pictures

It was harder to get perfectly clear and sharp pictures as well.

but I can take incredible pictures with this set up

Bought it for a long multi-nation trip, so I wouldn't have to carry multiple lenses and it took great pictures from close up to full zoom, portrait to landscapes.

The picture was sharp and don't need to always change lens.

There's no reason for you to miss shots that the guy next to you with his little Panasonic superzoom is going to reach out and get...a very slightly less sharp picture still may be worth a thousand words!

Takes excellent pictures in all situations

Sure, zooms are not always as sharp, but the best picture is the one you actually capture

Even when shooting at ISO 6400, the pictures are noise free and perfectly exposed

This does exactly what I need; excellent pictures, fully automatic with the D5200, and a reasonable price

I eventually used my Nikon 18-105 or 70-300 lens (which I have never had a problem with) with the D7000 and the pictures came out perfect.

It's perfect, good quality and nice pictures

By the way, good glass is heavy and give you nice pictures.

When I have a bad picture, it is the fault of the photographer, not the equipment

No lens changes means my camera sensor stays clean and I don't miss any pictures because of being in the middle of a lens change.

At full zoom, this lens can only go down to 5.6 f-stop, and its not too difficult to get into blurry picture mode when taking shots at full zoom

I have taken some very sharp pictures and all ranges 18-200

However, if you that also means heavier and it also means much harder to take good pictures because on a long zoom range the camera gets less light, it's sensitive to shaking hands and the lense distortion is getting worse

This lens is not very sharp, so the pictures are not crisp

It takes excellent pictures no matter how close/far from your subject you are.
