A/MA focus is great and allows for more versatility in focusing

The only real downside of this lens to me is the lack of any hard stops when focusing manually.

It's the only lens I have that has a focus ring which I love

at 1.8 its really hard to aim at moving things, the focus, when just a tiny bit off, is completely blurry, so if the autofocus were a tiny bit better that would be amazing

I have a 50 mm prime manual focus, and while it was great, I didn't love it

Super fast auto-focus, feels heavy and well-built

I can easily get the camera to get a solid focus and then manually bump it in either direction, thus giving me so much more control over the final composition of my shots

Love the soft dreamy backgrounds, but feels like the focus is never where i want it to be, always a bit off.

(I am not a pixel-peeper or a pro, but I know when focus has been missed)

This lens is light, has okay bokeh, is crisp and incredibly FAST!now for the part that made my day: its internal focus with no moving parts outside

I've tested this 35 mm lens with thousands, yes thousands of RAW shots and the focus is too soft at long distances no matter what I do

This lens will let you take those great looking photos where your subject is in perfect focus and the background is pleasantly blurred drawing your attention to what you intended the view to see.

focus is especially inaccurate in warm indoor lighting, which kind of negates the benefit of the fast aperture - might as well be a 2.8 lens for practical purposes

This lens is solely fine focusing, so you have to move in order to find a perfect frame, as you should with any lens

Looks pretty sharp, colors rich, fast focus, no noticeable barrel distortion and I can crop by 30-50%.

I have been using Olympus EPL 5 and Lumix GX1 with a LEICA DG SUMMILUX 25mm, Sigma 30mm 2.8, as well as several manual focus lenses

Another small issue which doesn't affect the image quality is the noisy auto focus

The pictures are sharp and with the f/1.8 available, you can play games with depth of field that can add a new dimension to your photographs.

The 1.8 f/s is amazing with low light and makes it for most of panoramic pictures.

great walk around lens , especially afternoon walks , early low light lens, can shoot it wide open with great results being a 1.8havent used a flash with it yet, inside- outside , make s great shots
