F7.1-F9 yield good results, the other apertures are a bit iffy.
-
However, this lens produces great results
-
The results I got were always great in overall contrast but seemed to lack microcontrast, not that anyone I've said this to agreed!I eventually part exchanged it for a wide prime.
-
That being said, when there's no clouds in the sky, this lens is a blast to use and produces amazing results
-
I use it mainly for architecture, street photography and social events, and the results are excellent
-
Don't get me wrong, this is an excellent lens and you will experience great results with some practice
-
I have used the 77mm Nikon CP II filter on it with nice results
-
I tried it on my D7000 with good results
-
Great results with D600.
-
I needed to increase my shutter speed to 1/15 before I could get better results with the 17-35mm.
-
It is a very sharp lens and when properly matched with the right subjects, produces very impressive results.
-
It is VERY sharp, sharp enough that I will shoot it at any aperture, at any focal length, and not be at all concerned about whether the results will be satisfactory.
