My first DSLR I really love it!
-
It won't do everything the D300 could do, and I probably won't ever use the "effects" feature, but it is a powerful, lightweight, high resolution DSLR.
-
In summary, I'd highly recommend this camera body to anyone on somewhat of a budget who wants a good quality DSLR that accommodates everyone from the point and shoot hobby photographer to the fully manual serious photographer
-
Best DSLR I've EVER owned!!
-
A great all around medium class DSLR and 18-140 lens; great picture quality and loaded with useful features DSLR that is easy to use and obtain excellent results.
-
I tend to do a lot of stealth shooting--street photography, party settings, travel, music performances--and I had forgotten just how loud DSLR's are, compared to the silent setup I currently use
-
Great first DSLR
-
but I'm sticking with my compact DSLR recommendation for most photographers
-
Having missed out on getting a D90, I figured it was about time to at least "upgrade" to an affordable DSLR with a few bells and whistles allowing to consolidate equipment
-
Like most people here, this is my first DSLR
-
A great first DSLR
-
The user interface is great and overall it’s an awesome beginner/enthusiast Dslr.
-
Great DSLR.
-
The Nikon D5500 is one of the best DSLR's out there for the money right now
-
Once you realize virtually everything can be done via iPhone-like gestures on the big rear articulating LCD, it becomes the fastest DSLR camera I've ever used.
-
It has made me love carrying around a dslr again.
-
Great DSLR
-
This is a great beginner DSLR, with enough bells and whistles for a novice at this point.
-
The point is this - DSLRs are a proven commodity and with some of the new DSLR compact bodies and lenses that are being released - they are stealing the 'mirrorless is thinner and lighter' thunder
-
Overall, this is a great DSLR in a smaller/lighter package.
